"Talent isn't as important as character." In his 2nd Year, this is a statement that holds true for Eveni Gapelu of Paramount, California. Even as a talent born musician he knew he wanted and needed something more. When Master's Commission visited his church in 2004 he saw something more than beautiful music, he saw worship actually changing hearts. With his family pushing college it was an obstacle just to obey God's voice to come to Master's Commission. Through Master's, Eveni has won battles with insecurities and overcame expectations. Following the examples of the leaders that have come through this program he has gained the confidence to live his life according to God's plan and not according to the expectations set before him. What he has gained this year is that it doesn't matter if the way seems impossible, always follow God. Eveni's character is one of strength and dignity, he is always ready to serve, and he's faithful to the calling God has placed on his life. His character shines through as a representation of God every time he steps onto the stage. Eveni knows that despite financial struggles he is called to this ministry. He knows that by remaining faithful to God, God will remain faithful to him.
